20th Century Italian Bass Floor Lamp by Stilnovo
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian floor lamp made of a metal frame and brass, having three slightly curved arms with frosted, cylindrical opal glass shade which creates an astonishing light display. Produced by Stilnovo, each shade is featuring a one light socket, in good condition. The round base is made of white marble. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950, Milan, Italy.

Stilnovo was an Italian lighting and design company founded in 1946 in Milan by the well-known Italian designer Bruno Gatta. During the Mid-Century Modern era the Stilnovo brand was one of the most pioneered lighting design companies in Italy, also known as the Stilnovo Period. Well-known artists have worked and designed for Stilnovo, such as the Italian architect and designer Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Joe Cesare Colombo, etc. To this day, the Stilnovo brand is still a benchmark in the Italian lighting history.
