20th Century Italian Alberello Marble, Opaline Glass Floor Lamp by Stilnovo
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian floor lamp made of hand crafted metal and brass, designed and produced by Stilnovo, in good condition. The floor lamp is composed with six round brass, frosted opaline glass shades, each of the glass lights is supported by a different lengths of a black metal stem with the original foot switch, featuring a one light socket, standing on a round white marble base. The wires have been renewed. Minor losses on the brass ring, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Milan, Italy.

Stilnovo was an Italian lighting and design company founded in 1946 in Milan by the well-known Italian designer Bruno Gatta. During the Mid-Century Modern era the Stilnovo brand was one of the most pioneered lighting design companies in Italy, also known as the Stilnovo Period. Well-known artists have worked and designed for Stilnovo, such as the Italian architect and designer Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Joe Cesare Colombo, etc. To this day, the Stilnovo brand is still a benchmark in the Italian lighting history.
