20th Century Italian Alberello Marble, Opaline Glass Floor Light by Stilnovo

A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian Alberello floor light made of hand crafted metal and brass, designed and produced by Stilnovo, in good condition. The detailed light is composed with six round brass, frosted opaline glass shades, each of the glass lights are supported by a different lengths of a hand painted white metal stem with the original foot switch, featuring a single light socket, standing on a round cream marble base. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Milan, Italy.

Stilnovo was an Italian lighting and design company founded in 1946 in Milan by the well-known Italian designer Bruno Gatta. During the Mid-Century Modern era the Stilnovo brand was one of the most pioneered lighting design companies in Italy, also known as the Stilnovo Period.
