20th Century Italian Bronze Table Lamp - Plexiglass Light by Luciano Frigerio
A Mid-Century modern Italian table lamp made by Luciano Frigerio from San Remo, Italy. The table lamp has a stair shaped base out of plexiglass in good condition. The irregularly shaped surface of the bronze shaft is typical for the designer. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1970, Italy.
Luciano Frigerio was an Italian designer, artist, and musician born in 1927 Desio, Italy and passed away in 1999. Frigerio attended the junior school at The Collegio Paola di Rosa in Desio, later on he finished his technical and administrative studies at the Pio XI College. One of his employees who worked close together with Frigerio helped him to realize one of his dreams, work, that was to create a unique piece of furniture, made with excellent and elegant materials. From this idea “ Movili Scultura “ ( furniture sculpture ) was born, which created a new style coming from the industrial production of that era. Many pieces of his furniture, designed by Frigerio are present in important Italian museums.
