A pair of playful Schnauzer Dog garden statues Art Deco period from Italy, in good condition. The vintage set of two have raised heads and face each other. Their snouts are slightly open and the fur is beautifully carved by hand in limestone.  The animal statues are in seated position and raised on the original plinths. Weathered patina, wear consistent with age and use. Circa 20th Century, Italy.

The Schnauzer breed originated in Germany in the Mid 19th Century and were an efficient ratting dogs.
