20th Century Italian Walnut, Brass Console Table by Ico Parisi
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian console table with two small, push out drawers, made of hand carved lacquered veneered Walnut, in good condition. The side, free standing table is standing on four curved metal, brass spider legs, designed by Ico Parisi. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1970, Italy.
Ico Parisi was an Italian architect and designer born in 1916 Palermo, Italy and passed away in 1996. Parisi studied first construction and graduated in 1934, later he studied architecture between 1949 – 1952 at the Institute of Atheneum in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1948, Parisi and his wife Luisa Aiani founded the design studio La Ruota. Parisi defined himself as an renaissance artist.
