20th Century Swedish Pair of Orrefors Glass Table, Desk Lights by Carl Fagerlund
A vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish pair of table lamps with a new round white shade, enhanced by chrome rings at the top of the stem, made hand blown clear Orrefors glass in good condition. Designed by Carl Fagerlund and produced, signed at the bottom of the base by Orrefors. Each of the Scandinavian table lights are featuring a one light socket. Manufacturer label at the top. Model RD 2052. The wires have been renewed. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1950, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Carl Fagerlund was a Swedish designer born in 1915 Kalmar, Sweden and passed in 2011. He studied and trained in Stockholm and later went to work for Swedish glassworks company, Orrefors. He designed dazzling lighting and lamps. Today, Fagerlund’s work continues to be highly inquired.
Kosta Glasbruk, later known as Kosta Boda was a Swedish glasswork founded by two officers, Anders and Georg Bogislaus Stael von Holstein, in 1792. At the beginning they produced window glasses, chandeliers and drinking glasses. Since 1898, art and crystal glass has been produced under the brand of Orrefors. In 1950, the Swedish designer Vicke Lindstrand joined Kosta Glasbruck as an artistic director.
