A 19th Century style Italian garden statue in Tuscan terra cotta clay. This very decorative Italian statuette shows a Bacchus, the god of agriculture and wine. He is depicted barefoot and dressed with short pants and nicely detailed folds. A crown of grapes is placed over his curly hair. He is holding a basket filled with harvested grapes. The statue is raised on a Tuscan circular plinth with podded décor. Heavy top rim and bottom rim is decorated with multiple bevels. Hand modeled and fired out of the prestigious Italian Galestro terracotta clay.
