Collection of Antique Jars from Puglia
dec-1192
A set of handmade 19th Century ceramic confit jars with original lids. A very unique iridescent marbling effect with beautiful maroon marbled glaze and cream colored flecks. These terracotta pots were originally used for preserving foods such as olives in olive oil, anchovies or sardines fresh from the Mediterranean sea. Today the antique pot would be ideal as a vessel for storage, flower vase, or a decorative display piece. Puglia, Italy. Wear consistent with age and use.
