An undisclosed rectangular marble mailbox from the city of Venice. The mailboxes were scattered throughout the city of Venice particularly near and inside the Palazzo Ducale. The mouth hole was used for inserting sheets of paper with secret denunciations of the Venetians. The piece had been hand carved of red marble in good condition with very detailed carving.
