French Biot Jar 1820
pf-1562
Circa 1820, this tall antique terra cotta clay olive jar originates from the small village Biot in Southern France. The traditional Provencal garden planter has a bulbous-shaped body and has a honey yellow glazed rim on the top. The body is left in a natural light tone with ochre and green glazed drippings. These beautiful collector items are still today very sought after and reflect the Mediterranean flair. Wear consistent with age and use.
