A pair of 19th century French Napoleon III lounge chairs, the structure has been hand crafted in walnut wood and newly reupholstered in an indigo blue striped grain sack organic linen. Each fauteuil features a tall, gently inclined backrest with generous armrests, resting on four short, hand made wooden feet finished in a deep brown.

Refined yet relaxed in character, these chairs lend themselves beautifully to a coastal or Provençal-inspired interior. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1850–1860, France.
