A pair of African Elephants in walking position and facing each other, the trunk to opposite sides on large limestone plinths. Beautifully executed hand carved statues depicting the animal which has been described as gentle and of wise spirit, as well as exemplifying power and strength. Hand carved in an age patinated limestone, in good condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
