A pair of hand carved wall reliefs in the Neoclassical style made of Carrara marble, featuring on the left side the Emperor Nero and on the right side Caesar. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1890, Italy.

Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus was the last emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty born in 37 AD Antium, Italy and passed away in 63 AD.

Gaius Julius Caesar was a Roman dictator and military general born inn 100 BC Rome, Italy and passed away in 44 BC. He played an important, critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire.
