20th Century Italian Rosewood Bar Cabinet by Paolo Buffa
An exceptional, vintage Mid-Century modern Italian bar cabinet standing on round conical legs with brass ornaments, egg white painted. Rosewood shellac polished body, designed by Paolo Buffa in good condition. Front with mirror excellent quality, the interior is covered with mirrored glass slightly patinated. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1940 - 1960, Italy.
Paolo Buffa was an Italian architect and designer born in 1903 Milan, Italy and passed away in 1970. Before Buffa studied at the Polytechnic Institute in Milan, he worked for the Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti. Later on he opened with his collaborator Antonio Cassi Ramello a company. Before Buffa passed away, he had been named one of the most important designers in the country.
