Spanish Lebrillo Bowl XL circa 1880

An extra large antique Spanish Lebrillo mixing bowl in earthenware, made of hand crafted terra cotta, originating from Granada, Spain. Featuring a glaze decoration in the typical Morisco green over a milk-white glaze. A floral motif with three flowers is hand painted onto the flat base of the bowl with an alternating squiggle border. There are visible cracks with some Victorian pin repairs along the bottom and sides. Wear consistent with age and use.
