20th Century Swedish Three-Seater Teakwood Sofa by Folke Ohlsson
A vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish three-seat sofa made of teakwood, designed by Folke Ohlsson and produced by DUX, in good condition. Upholstery in wear condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950 - 1960, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Folke Ohlsson was born in 1919 Sweden and passed away in 2003. In 1953 Ohlsson moved to Atherton, California and established DUX, Inc. in San Francisco. Over the years his work has received world-wide attention for his furniture designs which are known as Scandinavian Modern. Ohlsson received more than 30 awards in his lifetime.
Dux Inc. was a Swedish furniture manufacture founded in 1926 in Sweden by the Ljung family. They were specialized in designing and creating comfortable and innovative furniture, representing the Mid-Century Modern period and promoted a style of elegant design often referred to as Scandinavian Modern. Well-known designers have worked and designed for Dux, such as Folke Ohlsson, Bruno Mathesson, etc.
