A small wall relief made of French plaster, inspired from an 18th Century French original relief featuring four cherubim. Wear consistent with age and use. Not recommended for exterior use. Circa 1910 - 1930, France.
A cherub is one of the mysterious characters who directly attends to God, corresponding to Abrahamic religions. There are many characterization of cherubim, such as protecting the entrance of the Garden of Eden, also called Paradise, the Garden of God.
