An antique Italian set of Grand Tour models, fragments of the temple of Castor and Pollux made of hand crafted gilt stone, in good condition. The detailed columns are resting on a rectangular base. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1870 - 1890, Italy.

The temple of Castor and Pollux is an ancient temple in the Roman Forum, in Rome, Italy. It was built after the victory of the Battle of Lake Regillus ( The Roman victory over the Latin League - 495 BC ).
