19th Century French Carved Wood Marble Sofa Table

A 19th century French sculptural sofa or occasional table, hand carved from limewood and topped with a circular white marble surface. The richly detailed base is carved in the form of a naturalistic tree trunk with branching limbs and foliage, resting on a textured, organic plinth. The wood retains its original dark, aged patina with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The marble top shows light wear and natural variations.
