A Mid-Century modern unusual Willy Guhl lightweight cement garden vessel. This vintage Elephant ear planter has been fiber-reinforced. We have six of these beautiful planters available. Wear consistent with age and use, for outdoor use. Circa 1960 Switzerland.
Willy Guhl was a furniture maker, interior designer, teacher, and product designer born in 1915, in Stein am Rhein, Switzerland, and passed away in 2004. Guhl finished his apprenticeship as a cabinet maker at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. He opened his design studio and workshop in 1939. In 1943, he co-founded the Association of Swiss Interior Designers and in 1966, the Association of Swiss Industrial Designers. Guhl's work is known for his weather-resistant innovative cement designs.
