The Mid Century Modern Saucer Planter bowl by Willy Guhl adds the 1950s to your garden space. These planters were made in Switzerland in a durable light weight cement and reinforced with fiber. Excellent weathered patina with plant residue. The garden bowl is set onto a Hairpin Tri-Stand iron base. Predrilled holes for easy drainage.
Individually weathered patina, wear consistent with age and use. Also available individually.
Willy Guhl was a furniture maker, interior designer, teacher, and product designer born in 1915, in Stein am Rhein, Switzerland, and passed away in 2004. Mr. Guhl finished his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich, Switzerland. He opened his own design studio and workshop in 1939. In 1943, he co-founded the Association of Swiss Interior Designers and in 1966, the Association of Swiss Industrial Designers. Mr. Guhl's work is known for his weather-resistant cement designs.
