A late 19th Century antique oval jardiniere or plant stand made of handcrafted root wood. The tapered planter box of tapered shape has a meticulously crafted floral decoration and wooden scales. The plant stand in the shape is adorned with flowers and wood scales decoration. The rectangular base elevated on four feet lends additional stability. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1900, Northern France.
