Antique French Provincial Glazed Stoneware Jug with Amber-Brown Drip Glaze
pf-1765
A 19th/20th Cenutry antique French provincial stoneware jug featuring a generous rounded body, a narrow neck, and a sculptural loop handle. The upper portion is covered in a rich amber and honey-brown glaze, with dramatic irregular drips flowing over the natural, unglazed stoneware body.
The expressive glaze, earthy surface, and timeworn patina give this rustic vessel considerable character. Small dark glaze accents and the organic transitions between glazed and raw clay surfaces enhance its artisanal appeal.
Traditionally associated with the storage and pouring of liquids, this sculptural earthenware vessel makes an exceptional decorative accent for a country French kitchen, farmhouse interior, or Mediterranean-inspired settings
