WA-1524
A pair of Wooden Leti Statues handcarved of wood. These sculptures origin from the Leti Islands in the Maluku archipelago of eastern Indonesia. Traditionally crafted as spiritual guardians representing revered ancestors, these are seen as a protective figure, a symbol of fertility and local beliefs. The wooden figures feature characteristic seated postures with arms rested upon elevated knees, stylized facial details, and expressive crests. Both sculptures exhibit a rich, aged patina and organic wood texture.
