dec-1905

A rare and evocative antique botanical collection comprising nine framed specimens of pressed flowers, carefully mounted on aged paper with elegant handwritten French inscriptions. Each specimen is presented within a soft gray-green border, with delicate botanical arrangements preserved beneath glass.

Dated 1913, the collection retains its original scientific and decorative character, with faded manuscript labels, naturally aged paper, and beautifully weathered wooden framing. The warm sepia tones and fragile botanical forms lend the piece an authentic historical presence. The backsides are adorned with antique weathered papers of flora and fauna.

Housed in a substantial black-painted wooden frame divided into individual compartments, this distinctive herbarium bridges the worlds of natural history, antique scientific collections, and French country-house decoration.

An exceptional decorative object for a library, study, conservatory, or refined country interior.
