A pair of curved limestone garden benches with elegantly scrolled bases and armrests, centered by an original lead plaque reading “The Property of the National Trust.” Hand carved with generous proportions, the benches display classical detailing and a softly weathered surface developed through decades of outdoor exposure. The curved form allows the benches to embrace a garden setting, making them both functional seating and architectural focal points. Circa 1930–1940, England. Wear consistent with age and use.
