A late 19th Century, antique Swedish Gustavian pull-out daybed made from hand crafted painted Pinewood, in good condition. This freestanding Scandinavian wood bench features a tall spindle back and gently curved side rests, all supported by eight round, tapered fluted legs, particularized in the Neoclassical Greek style. The frame is adorned with refined wood carvings. Finished in a soft, aged paint, the daybed offers timeless charm and graceful proportion, ideal for use as a freestanding seating piece in living rooms, bedrooms, or entryways. Newly upholstered in a white linen-cotton fabric. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1870 - 1890, Sweden, Scandinavia.
