An antique French staved bucket or trough in oak wood with patinated red metal bands and letters. These rustic oval vessels from Burgundy were typically used to collect grapes. The iron handles were used to be installed into carts to make the load easier to transport. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 19th Century, Burgundy, France.
