The Evolution of Authentic Provence
Authentic Provence embodies the art of bringing European garden antiques and design heritage to the United States. Since 1998, when the gallery first opened in West Palm Beach, Florida, just 40 minutes north of Miami, Authentic Provence has grown from a boutique on Clematis Street into one of the largest antique showrooms in the country a 75,000-square-foot flagship on Georgia Avenue.
Over the years, Authentic Provence has become a trusted resource for landscape architects, interior designers, and collectors nationwide. The gallery introduced the U.S. market to iconic French and Italian garden elements, including Versailles planter boxes, Anduze planters, Orangerie planter boxes in custom colors, antique limestone statuary, and hand-carved Provencal fountains. Beyond the garden, the collection extends to exceptional European furniture and décor, such as German Biedermeier furniture, Swedish Gustavian designs, French Empire antiques, and Italian Arte Povera pieces. More recently, Authentic Provence expanded into collectible mid-century modern design, presenting works by masters like Gio Ponti and Paolo Buffa to enrich Palm Beach with rare European design icons.

Authentic Provence, now located on Georgia Avenue, has become a premier destination for European-inspired design, spanning 75,000 square feet where every limestone fountain, Versailles planter, and antique garden ornament reflects the artistry of the Old World. Before this flagship showroom, the gallery thrived on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach’s Antique Row, anchored by an Octagonal Limestone Fountain that gave visitors a taste of Provençal charm. Its journey began on Clematis Street, where a passion for French elegance and artisanal craftsmanship first shaped the collection that would soon influence indoor and outdoor spaces across the country-from New York and the Hamptons to Los Angeles, Malibu, and Santa Fe.

In 2015, Authentic Provence launched AP Mid Century Modern, a gallery dedicated to original 20th-century design. The collection includes Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, and Art Nouveau furniture, lighting, and décor, featuring iconic works by Osvaldo Borsani, Vladimir Kagan, Paolo Buffa, Carl Fagerlund, Max Ingrand, and others. Conveniently located next to the main gallery on Georgia Avenue, AP MCM has become a destination for designers and collectors seeking authentic European mid-century furniture in South Florida.

With more than three decades of expertise in the international antiques market, Authentic Provence is recognized as one of the largest and most respected antique galleries in the United States. Frequently honored in publications such as Veranda, which has named it the best antique store in the country, the gallery continues to stand as a leader in European garden antiques and mid-century modern furniture.
Visitors will discover more than antiques – they will find architectural elements, design inspiration, and the lifestyle of Provence and Europe carefully curated and brought to South Florida.
