An exquisite, antique early 19th Century Burmese Mandalay Buddha statue, masterfully hand carved from wood, partially gilded, and lacquered in rich tones, in good condition. This large, highly detailed sculpture stands in a graceful pose atop an intricately carved elevated lotus flower base, symbolizing spiritual purity and enlightenment. The Buddha is depicted wearing a flowing black and deep red robe, draped floor-length in traditional Mandalay style. The right hand is held in the " Jnana Mudra " the gesture of knowledge and wisdom, emphasizing inner reflection and teaching. Elegant and contemplative, this sculptural piece carries both spiritual presence and refined artistry, making it a powerful focal point for interiors or curated collections. Minor cracks, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1820 - 1840, Kingdom of Mandalay, Burma, Asia.
