18th Century Swedish Gustavian Pine Bench - Antique Daybed Attributed to Lindome

A late 18th Century, antique freestanding Swedish Gustavian daybed attributed to Lindome school, in good condition. This Scandinavian sofa bench is hand crafted from solid Pinewood and has been scraped to its original painted surface. The daybed features a spindled back and curved side rests with gracefully arched arm supports. It stands on eight tapered and fluted wooden legs, each particularized with signature carved rosettes and floral motifs along the crest and apron, embellished in the Neoclassical Greek Style. This authentic piece of furniture is ideal for use in a formal entryway, living room or bedrooms. The upholstery is in used condition. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1790 - 1810, Sweden, Scandinavia.
