An antique American bust of Secretary of State Daniel Webster made of hand crafted French plaster, executed by Irving S. Palmer in good condition. The detailed sculpture stands on a circular foot. Labeled with a metal sign at the front base - Presented by Irving S. Palmer and at the backside Caproni Plastic. Arts Boston. Not recommended for exterior use. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 19th Century, United States.

Irving S. Palmer was a British, American artist born in 1839, in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States and passed away in 1911.
Daniel Webster was an American lawyer, statesman and diplomat representing New Hampshire and Massachusetts in the U.S Congress and served as the Secretary of State under the presidents William Henry Harrison, John Tyler and Millard Fillmore. During his time, Webster was one of the most well-known American lawyers of the 19th Century, arguing over 200 cases.
