19th Century Black French Set of Six Painted Beech Os Du Mouton Dining Chairs
A black, antique French set of six os du mouton ( Sheep bone ) dining room chairs, composed with two armchairs and four side chairs made of hand crafted painted Beechwood, in good condition. The Parisian corner chairs have a slightly curved tall backrest, standing on four arched legs, supported by a "H" stretcher, enhanced by detailed wood carvings and fittings, particularized with brass nail heads. Newly upholstered in an antique hemp fabric. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1870 - 1890, Paris, France.
