A stunning and oversized antique terracotta clay Sicilian Oil Jar or amphora. The opening of this garden vessel is 28” in diameter. These typical Sicilian vessels were traditionally used to store olive oil. These pots have no handles and have retained traces of natural antique patina of use over time. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1830, Sicily Italy.
