19th Century French Antique George Washington Statue

A mid to late 19th Century, life size statue of the first President of the United States, George Washington in French Plaster. His gaze is serious, almost stern, and his pose exudes authority and wisdom. This is emphasized by the book to his right, upon which his right hand is resting. The back of the statue bears partial blemishes and restorations. The left hand is missing. Suitable for interior use only. Minor fading, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1880, France.
