An antique pair of French Provincial black bookcases or library cabinets made of hand crafted painted Sprucewood, in good condition. The upper part is composed with two glass display doors and the interior contains two shelves. The lower part of the buffets are composed of doors and a single interior shelf. The set of two bookshelves are composed with their original metal hardware and keys, lifted by a plinth wooden base. Minor fading, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1810 - 1820, France.
