19th Century German Pair of Antique Biedermeier Polished Cherrywood Side Chairs

An early 19th Century, antique pair of German Biedermeier dining room chairs made of hand crafted shellac, partly veneered Cherrywood in good condition. The detailed Shovel chairs have an open, arched backrest, standing on four long wooden legs. The corner chairs are enhanced by ebonized flower décor inlays. Newly upholstered in a cream-grey velvet. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1810 - 1830, South Germany.
