19th Century Italian Basswood Chandelier Pendant - Large Antique Light Fixture

An early 19th Century, antique Italian square ceiling pendant, light fixture made of hand crafted Basswood, in good condition. The ornaments were assembled from a church and unified into this extra ordinary fixture. The objet dā art originates from Alto Adige and was an architectural ornament. The square frame has a weathered grey blue patina and is adorned by additional acanthus leaf and swan motifs. The structure is held by six curved supports with decorative sphere in wood and scrolls. The base of the pendant is fitted with a candelabra-style armature for six candles, sticks. The fixture is suspended from a rustic antique metal chain with partially gilded detailing. This sculptural piece is not electrified, preserving its historical character and ecclesiastical charm. Minor fading, scratches due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1820 - 1830, Alto Adige, Northern Italy.
