20th Century French Vintage Wall Plaster Relief of the Greek God Dionysus

A large vintage rectangular wall relief in French Plaster, from the Parthenon to Neoclassical style, in good condition.  Hand crafted bas-relief of the Parthenon temple, on the Athenian Acropolis in Athens. Women with Peplum and the Greek god Dionysus. The relief is molded in French Plaster and refinished by hand. Not recommended for exterior use. Minor fading, due to age. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1920 - 1940, France.

In the Ancient Greece a thyrsus or thyrsos was a wand ( a wooden rod which was usually hold by one hand ) of a giant fennel. It's normally associated with the Greek God Dionysus.
