A 20th Century Gothic style Italian garden well hand carved in limestone after an original from the 15th Century. The carved stone wellhead has a circular body with a Venetian shield and a square pronounced rim. The garden ornament is raised on a square platform. A hand forged scrolled ironwork with decorative lateral scrolls, pulley and chain completes this architectural element. Nicely weathered patina, wear consistent with age and use.
