A circular Renaissance style wellhead in hand carved limestone. This Italian stone wishing well has been beautifully carved with large acanthus leaves and thick bevels on the bottom and top rim. This garden ornament is elevated onto a round platform. The wellhead includes a very ornate hand forged overthrow in metal, and includes the pulley, chain and hook. It could also be used as an oversized planter or converted into a central fountain. Wear consistent with age and use, weathered patina. Circa 20th Century, Italy
