Anduze Garden Urn Hand Made with Ivory Patina
pf-1213
Handmade Anduze garden pot finished with a cream colored glaze on the Terra Cotta clay body. This raised French garden planter has the traditional French decoration with swags and emblems. This single Provencal planter is one of a kind and cannot be re-ordered.
The iconic Anduze urn traces its origins to the early 17th century, during the reign of King Henry IV. Inspired by the classical elegance of the Medici urn from Florence, a French potter in the town of Anduze blended Italian Renaissance design with Provençal craftsmanship, creating the first hand-thrown terracotta urn in Southern France. Over time, the Anduze pot became a hallmark of French garden style, admired for its graceful silhouette, durability, and decorative charm.
