Anduze Garden Urn Striped Design in Yellow Glaze
pf-1015
This traditional footed Anduze garden planter features a richly glazed yellow surface. The design of this French pottery shows uneven, handcrafted vertical stripes. As these planters are handcrafted, slight variations in size may occur. They include drainage holes, and we recommend using liners or landscaping cloth prior to planting. Please note these planters are not frostproof. Wear consistent with age and use.
The iconic Anduze urn traces its origins to the early 17th century, during the reign of King Henry IV. Inspired by the classical elegance of the Medici urn from Florence, a French potter in the town of Anduze blended Italian Renaissance design with Provençal craftsmanship, creating the first hand-thrown terracotta urn in Southern France. Over time, the Anduze urn became a hallmark of French garden style, admired for its graceful silhouette, durability, and decorative charm.
Our suggestion is to pair this urn with pf-1400.
