A very tall 19th century French harvest basket, hotte or hod in two natural aged wicker reeds on an oak base from the Champagne region. Beautifully woven with carrying strap in good condition. This kind of French harvest hod was used to collect and carry grapes during the harvest period. Wear consistent with age and use.
