Large garden jar planter hand crafted in Provence, France. The hand-modeled terracotta bodice features a wonderful, chalky-colored patina. The neck and rim of the authentic French planter have a hand-painted green glaze.

Traditionally, the glaze was also used on the Biot jars to prevent insects from intruding on the interior. As these planters are handcrafted, slight variations in size may occur. They include drainage holes, and we recommend using liners or landscaping cloth prior to planting. Please note these planters are not frostproof. Wear consistent with age and use.
