An antique handcrafted metal gate from France in the typical 19th-century style with its original weathered patina. The lower section has beveled fields and the upper part has beautifully ornate decorations with scalloped finish and scrolls which were made by talented French blacksmiths. The separate arched overthrow is topped with large scrolls. This architectural element is a perfect addition to a French manor or Provincial style farmhouse. Circa 1830, France.
