Circa 1930, a humorous garden statue of a gnome carrying a fortune sack.  This kind of limestone sculpture was believed to bring prosperity and fortune to their owner. Similar to a statue in the Park of Pamphili, Rome. This small hand carved limestone garden ornament could also be used as fountain head. Original weathered patina throughout, wear consistent with age and use. Early 20th Century, Italy
