A pair of large garden jars hand made in Provence. The hand modeled terracotta bodice has a wonderful chalky colored patina. The neck and rim of the authentic French planter have a green glaze. Traditionally the glaze was also used on the Biot jars to prevent insects from intruding the interior. The vessel is not frost proof and should be either emptied and covered or overwintering outside in cold brought inside. Drainage hole is provided, finish and sizes may vary.
