A hand carved limestone well from Northern Italy, circa 1960. The circular wellhead rests on a double step with an octagonal shape. The garden ornament is adorned with beautifully chiseled Renaissance style scrolled Acanthus leaves. These protruding elements and the finely carved leaf design adds charm to the bodice. Naturally weathered patina. Wear consistent with age and use.
